The media is all a buzz about Don Imus' comments regarding the women's basketball team of Rutgers University. I, personally; was hurt, insulted and appalled as an independent business women and accomplished professional. These young women didn't deserve such depiction; and to add insult to injury, Mr. Imus' cop out is; the Fraze originated first, in the blackcommunity. In a professional arena and wide platform, such as Mr. Imus' radio broadcast program, this type of language is; deplorable, despicable and unacceptable.
I'm all too familiar with the term "Ho" for it is used best when describing a "male or female" for that matter, who will sell their body and soul for money, gain or greed. But to use such an ugly term on a program, which is simulcast live, for millions of listeners and refer to young women who have excelled in both academics and athletics, at a prestigious university; such as Rutgers, is down right mean and insulting. This type of terminology is not only inappropriate but highly unethical. Yes, some women's actions and behavior warrant, such a title; but these women who exemplified dignity, grace and accomplishment; did not position themselves to be degraded in such manner.

Yes, it's a very interesting comment on your website. Althought he was, indeed, a catalyst for discussing the awuful language used for black women, Imus, fool that he is, gets credit for nothing but being an arrogant race-baiter. I'm glad you took a moment to read my column and express your own views on this Imus clown..
My personal opinion about what Mr. Imus said does not surprise me in the least. Racism has been around sit Black people stepped foot on America and it continues on today. We all are guilty of racism, especially behind closed doors. A certain joke or remark about another race, sex, or certain ethnic group. The problem with Mr. Imus is he was dumb enough to say these hurtful things on the radio. Where are living in a time where these things aren't said as much, but are very much thought about. If the Bible says we are to be held accountable for what we think, than we are all guilty of thinking vicious and racial remark. The fact that Mr.Imus is in the public eye and he was wrong to say what he said, even if he was thinking it.

Hi Tracy,
As well as everyone in the Black community, I was appalled at the remark by Imus. We have many hurdles to cross due to how we depict ourselves and how others depict us. Racism is still prevalent from other races and we do have issues within ourselves. Keep up the good work Tracy!!
